Art
is to have such a large lake that once smaller and
larger waves sometimes suggests. What's happening in
Kassel, is the prelude to a new season of art
cognoscenti from June to September. An international
audience has signed up to Documenta, is
correspondingly much been going on 6 June, the first
day with the audience. By the way, is a grouping of
Occupy on the site near the town hall had gathered
to protest against abuses in the capital markets.
But it was raining. The sky was gray and remained
covered, as in the early morning hours of the
transit of Venus, the last in this century, between
earth and sun without sensation.
Nevertheless, a change from previous years can be
felt, not so much performance art and performances
take place, but bare-terminal atmosphere creeps up.
What if someone is set to hold. Was not there
actually an airport project outside of Kassel ...
Facilities that want to say is I'm feeling the pure
air condition.
Air turbulence blowing directly at
the visitor when the open occurs through the double
doors. "This is a work of art" is the succinct
answer. Where is the air jet is initially hidden. A
white wall, behind which is a kind of box is good
reason for fan. Air circulation is always an
important part in airports and airplanes are
turbine-powered. This is some noise associated. The
art is an excellent source of noise in order to
trigger associations. The most suitable type of
disturbing noise. Here is the current program
documenta 13 to 100 days
Functional
presents itself, sophisticated machinery by Thomas
Bayrle are rotated and positioned. Have
idiosyncratic dynamics. Would have to be black frame
on the floor on which, please do not transgress, the
risk of injury is given. The Total and Absolute
prevails, because the machine is just violence.
As when a traveler goes through the airport terminal,
so that looks into an internal gear. However, open
and friendly to the large exhibition hall near the
present Fredericianum.
The picture plane is contracted by a known pattern
of Thomas Bayrle of many small planes to give a big
picture. A marathon performance meticulous character
work, as it seems.
Large
high-edged canvases come from elsewhere on the
Documentation, bringing the painting back a piece of
land reclaimed. Covers prevent the showcases the
insight. Only when the textile is lifted, blob-like
abstract color studies are visible. Everything seen,
everything had been, one might think.
Documentation dressed. As has always been this
Documentation is divided by a mix of modern art with
regard to works of classical art, so that find next
to a semi-dark Salvador Dali certainly
electronically controlled video installation space,
the projectors are projected on the wall. How ever,
the real catchment projector technology has found on
the Documentation. This is both convenient and on
the other effectively.
The
mixing of modern art exhibits in addition to
classical equivalent concepts as developed by the
Swiss Remy Zaugg years ago. The peculiar
juxtaposition of an architectural expect, what is
color coordinated with Zaugg. This museum is the
interior design.
Utopian architectural studies after the tsunami in
Japan who oppose the dangers of the sea. New
concepts demonstrate how future settlement is
situated. This study developed architects and
designers who were in person and have been following
the disaster after the disaster in Japan. I-City is
structured from the voice-over and takes nature as a
basis to contribute to a system of urban development.
Road networks, clusters of human settlements and the
mountains are in the context of the structure.
Bridges where bustling markets are located, the rows
of houses on a hillside near the mountains and not
directly on the coast, to avoid the tsunami hazard.
A process of awareness, only then lecture will be
offered.
So even in this Documenta references are processed
from the architecture, if a parallel running video
sequence presents endless staircase adds tonal
worlds that might be of the Escher-inspired poster
with the staircase to infinity. Gentle bass tones
which the music accompanying an English completes
the scene.
This
acts as a kaleidoscope for the senses - not new but
effective, if dilapidated houses again for the
purpose of visualization may rise again. The film is
without beginning and without end film, like the
image of Escher staircase. Only the result in the
video is another contribution, namely the
presentation of physical structures, which would be
created for the reference architecture. People
appear only rarely or casually, at least in this
sequence of the contribution.
About the expression and the tsunami project told me architect Michiko Okano, see the photo on the left side.
This insight is sad, because removing
architectural worlds of people, materials are
determined. Man is the target and should remain
content of any artistic statement.
Plastic timber made of metal busts shelves, from top
to look down with distorted mouths. But the interior
is impressive. An art that has something for
yourself and taste is. The heads are not bad and
retain expression. You do not lose even when they
are viewed from different perspectives. In addition,
historical periodicals and books on the shelves are
mostly below the bust. A smorgasbord of art backed
by science reading and looking up to the leaves.
